Hannah Viverette, a resident of Hagerstown, Maryland (USA), went viral after being surprised by an attacker while recording a TikTok on her cell phone. The man was arrested and released on bail.
The “scariest moment” in Hannah’s life happened on Saturday (28), in her own home. In the video, it is possible to observe the state of shock in which the woman was. The images show her dancing and suddenly stopping movement and assuming a defensive posture.
Hannah looks at her door and asks “Who are you?” repeatedly. The man, identified by the police as Angel Moises Rodriguez Gomez, asked, in Spanish: “Am I your friend?” Upon being expelled from the residence, he asks again – “are you sure?”.
Hannah takes out her cell phone to film the invasion and runs to ask a neighbor for help. A few seconds later, the attacker disappears. After the invasion, the woman posted the video on TikTok with the caption: “That moment when you are recording yourself dancing and your stalker goes up on the second floor balcony to enter,” says the post, which reached almost 10 million interactions in three days.
Gomez already had a criminal record, with records of theft in third and fourth degrees, second degree assault, persecution and malicious destruction of property. After the complaint, Hannah detailed the case in a post on Facebook.
“We arrived at the most frightening moment of my life, madly documented. As many people know, I love to dance. It is my escape valve, my meditation, my safe place,” he said at the beginning of the post.
She describes the moment when Gomez surprised her: “[Era] A face that I had seen in my apartment complex area since I moved, but I never spoke a word. A man who has insisted on watching me and has made many uncomfortable strides for me from a distance, for months. For a long time I ignored it, assuming he was just a scoundrel. It was the moment I came face to face with him at my door that I knew he was there to hurt me. He kept his hands in his sweatshirt pockets with a sly smile on his face “, he detailed.
Hannah may have gotten rid of an even more serious action. According to the statement, after calling 911 (the US emergency phone), she noticed that the cables for the Christmas decoration lights, arranged outside her home, had been ripped off. The dancer believes that it was the invader and that he could use the material against her.
Hannah concludes by saying that Gomez was arrested but released on bail, and said, “I refuse to live in fear and I refuse to let him continue doing this to me or anyone else.”
