“His success in his coaching career puts him at a high level,” he continued. “We believe his ability to help his players reach their best, both individually and collectively, will fit in well with our team. ” No details were given as to the length of his contract.
“Whether as a player or as a coach, he has won wherever his career has taken him, and we hope he continues here in Chicago,” concluded the manager. Donovan, who succeeds Jim Boylen, sacked last month, has a record of 243 wins against 157 losses during his stint at Oklahoma City, which he called five seasons in a row for the play-offs.
Coach of the year
This season, he was named Coach of the Year alongside Milwaukee Bucks Mike Budenholzer by the NBA Coaches Union (NBCA). And in the play-offs, the Thunder was eliminated in the first round by the Houston Rockets after a very close series in seven matches. The Bulls have not reached the play-offs for three seasons and their last final dates back to the 1997-1998 season, which resulted in the sixth coronation of the band to Michael Jordan against Utah.
