NBA: Miami rushes to the final thanks to his Herro

Miami now leads 3-1 against Boston in the Eastern Conference final after its victory (112-109) on Wednesday, acquired thanks to the exceptional performance of its rookie, Tyler Herro. The Heat is only one success away from a first final since 2014.

Miami is getting closer to a new title of Eastern Conference champion but especially the NBA Finals. The Heat won against Boston (112-109) on Wednesday and now leads 3-1 in the series. The Floridians, whose zone defense still posed big problems in the attack of the Celtics, were able to count on the contributions of the pivot Bam Adebayo (20 pts, 12 rebounds, 4 assists) and captain Jimmy Butler (21 pts, 8 rbds, 3 passes).

But the hero of the Heat was named Tyler Herro and he is only twenty years old. As talented as he was uninhibited, he recited an exceptional score, returning 14 of his 21 shots (including 5/10 at three points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists) and illuminating the game at almost every offensive, with impressive simplicity and class at this stage of the play-offs, especially for a first. In total, he scored 37 points. Only the legendary Magic Johnson has already scored a higher score in the play-offs at 20 (42 in 1980).

The rookie was impregnable for Boston, which also paid too many losses of balls (19 against 8 in front) and could not completely recover its delay of 12 points at the start of the third quarter. Jayson Tatum had a huge start to the second half, however. After missing his first seven shots in the first two quarters, he then scored 28 points (9 rebounds), offering in spurts a sacred pass with Herro. Game 5 will take place on Friday.
