The Englishman OG Anunoby scored a miraculous shot on Thursday to offer, in half a second, the victory in Toronto against Boston (104-103). The Raptors, reigning champions, are now only 2-1 in the series.
A three-point basket at the buzzer of OG Anunoby gave Toronto its first victory over Boston (104-103), in their NBA Eastern Conference semi-final, to close the gap to 2-1, Thursday at Disney World. The English winger, forgotten on the other side of the field on a throw-in from Kyle Lowry, just had time to catch the ball before sending it right on target with 5 / 10ths of a second from the end. There were only two tenths of a second left on the clock when the ball left his hands.

All of his Raptor buddies fell in love with him. It must be said that in the blink of an eye they went from an almost inextricable situation, with a third defeat that was promised to them – and a probable elimination at the end -, to that of reviving the suspense in a series where they have long been inferior to the C’s.
The latter, on the other hand, celebrated too prematurely this third victory finally erased by the feat of Anunoby (12 pts, including 3/5 behind the arc, 10 rebounds), after Kemba Walker had sent an extraordinary passes for the dunk of pivot Daniel Theis. The rear also scored a lot (29 pts) and was a constant poison for Toronto, which had tightened its defense on Jayson Tatum, limited to 15 points.

But the reigning champion, led by ten points at the break, showed a lot of heart failing to control the debates, like his leader Kyle Lowry (31 pts, 8 assists, 6 rebounds) and the back Fred VanVleet (25 pts), who must however still find the sights at three points (2/8 and 5/13).
“It’s a very emotional moment, but it’s over. Now we have to focus on the next game. Every night we play with our guts, we put everything on the floor. We still had a good time. beaten and we didn’t give up. We’re going to have to play even harder because this team is very strong, “said Lowry.
