Benoît Paire, seeded n ° 23, will participate in Roland-Garros. The Frenchman, not spared by the coronavirus which had caused him to miss the US Open, tested negative.
Benoît Paire has much to be relieved. His last coronavirus test is negative, as the French himself indicated, this Friday, in a story on his official Instagram account. Decked out in his mask, the tennis player, inside a vehicle, took a photo with his badge, a precious sesame giving him access to the French Open tennis site.
In addition to the “negative” hashtag, the Avignon resident wrote: “First victory at Roland-Garros.” A first that could lead to another, this time on the clay of the Paris tournament, with a first round planned against the South Korean Soonwoo Kwon, 82nd player in the world.

Pair had missed the US Open
Anyway, the 31-year-old can therefore breathe, he who has clearly not been spared from the coronavirus in recent times. A first positive test just before the start of the US Open (August 31 – September 13) then prevented him from playing the usual fourth Grand Slam of the year.
Returned since in Europe, Benoît Paire had undergone a new positive test, before the ATP tournament in Hamburg. This hadn’t stopped him from playing, however. Ready to put an end to his season, in particular because of too much weariness linked to these various positive income tests, Benoît Paire can now focus on his game.
